RON SONATINE MAY, 2010
http://www.ambitionsasamogul.blogspot.com
1. Why I do what I do is... Why I do what I do is a true love of music, hip hop and the game. I'm a competitive person and hip hop is a sport to me. The strong last in this game and I just want to leave my mark in history. Aside from that, the chance to change not only my life but the lives of a lot of other people by creating multiple revenue streams that we can all eat off of.
2. My sound and vibe is unique because... My sound and vibe is unique because I don't spend too much time studying my competition. I rely on the classics and do draw some inspiration from other current artists, but I mainly tell my story, and speak on my observations of things going on in the world. Aside from that, I'm a Baltimore area native and I've spent time all over the DC/MD/VA metro area (and I travel often), so I feel as though my perspective is unique in itself simply because the area hasn't been fully introduced to the world in a broader view than what people know of Baltimore from "The Wire" and Washington, DC from the news and tourism. Look for my debut mixtape to drop Summer 2010!
3. Top 3 Artists I'd like to work with are...
Nas, Ghostface Killah & Kanye West
4. What I'm working on right now is What I'm working on right now is my blog www.ambitionsasamogul.blogspot.com and I'm really using it to give the world a glimpse into my mind as well as hit y'all with the latest Ron Sonatine and Final Kauz Entertainment media.
5. The easiest part of I do is The easiest part of what I do is writing lyrics. I'm a natural born writer and love manipulating language.
6. The most challenging part of what I do is The most challenging part of what I do is watching less talented people get on due to political relationships just to play around with the opportunity(shakes head).
7. I love it when...
I love it when someone tells me they appreciate my music, I still do this for the props lol
8. If I could play anywhere in the world I would play at the...why? If I could play anywhere in the world I would play anywhere where music with a soul is appreciated. Why? Because my music is made to be felt as much as heard. It's my story and I want people to relate to it, not just buy it.
9. The biggest thing I've learned lately is... The biggest thing I’ve learned lately is that a turn around can happen in a very short period of time if you're focused and you're about putting in work.
10. The most "craziest" and wild thing I've ever done is... The most “craziest” and wild thing I’ve ever done is sex and kush in crazy places lol...but one story that comes to mind is Allstar Weekend in Vegas a few years ago. I took 9 shots of vodka as soon as I woke up (prompted by some friends mind you) on an empty stomach, went to the MGM with my homeboy and ended up getting so wasted I had to be wheelchaired by security back to my hotel room...alcohol is a terrible drug, lol. Shout out to Vegas though, on the east coast, they woulda left me in the street or in the back of a paddy wagon lol.
11. What does the slogan "letsgetit" mean to me?
What does the slogan “letsgetit” mean to me? The hustle, the struggle, being thoroughbred and self made.
